OUT AT SEA are a London based indie-pop band made up of four university mates: Matt Chase (vocals/guitar), Mark Houston (vocals/guitar), Nick Gartland (keys) and Ben Cupit (drums). Three parts Liverpool FC, one part Man United, they bonded over their love for the game, 80s synth music, craft IPAs and indie rock bands.

After fully forming at the start of 2020 (the best and worst time to form a band), OUT AT SEA started releasing singles from their 'lockdown home studio', powered by endless zoom calls, voice notes and "I think this may be a silly idea" ideas. Last year they released their summer single 'Houdini' - a feel-good summer bop which was chosen to be played in Co-ops across the UK on a new music radio show.

Lie A Little EP, their debut EP, dropped September 2020. The EP is a snapshot into city living, fleeting romance and overshot expectations in your 20s, accompanied by synth earworms and noughties indie-rock guitars. 'Get Myself Together' and 'ITWILL' were both chosen to be played by BBC Introducing Solent.

After the dreaded third lockdown, the boys released their first tune in 7 months this April in the reflective form of 'Maybe You Know Better'. 'Lucky It's Love', their emphatic summer banger that has become an instant hit with their dedicated following and beyond, released early July. It was recorded at Strongroom Studios with producer Ross Fortune (Friendly Fires, Inhaler, Anne Marie) and funded by a fan supported Kickstarter.

OUT AT SEA are keeping the ball well and truly rolling into the future with the infectious singalong track 'Izzy', dropping on 27th August. A week after the release, they will play their first non-socially distanced gig at O2 Academy2 Islington on 4th September, and are ready to finally have a proper dance with their fans.
